Indian Visa applicants from Luxembourg may complete the Electronic Visa application form from the link http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/ .
Kindly note down the Temporary Application ID number which would enable you to save and continue with your application on a later date. Save the completed form, print it and append your signature on the form, attach two photographs of 2 inch x 2 inch dimension (50 mm x 50 mm). Photographs which do not meet these specifications will not be accepted. Submit the form with photographs and a NOTE VERBALE from your Employer or Organization directly at the Honorary Consular desk (for address and timings, please see under Applicants who do not have a NOTE VERBALE (e.g., those visiting India on private visits / tourism etc.) may complete the online visa application form from the website of India , submit their application at the Honorary consuls desk at Luxembourg.

E-Tourist Visas for Luxembourg and European Nationals living in Luxembourg

India offers “e-Tourist Visa (eTV)” to the nationals of large number of countries including BELGIUM and LUXEMBOURG.

This facility is available to those whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sight-seeing, short duration medical treatment, casual business visit, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, etc, and not valid for any other purpose/activities.

The eTV would enable the prospective visitor to apply for an Indian Visa from his/her home country online without visiting the Indian Mission and pay the visa fee online. Once approved, the applicant will receive an email authorizing him/her to travel to India with a printout of the authorization. On arrival, the visitor must present the authorization to the immigration authorities. Further details in this regard may be seen at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html

  2. The webpage also guides the applicants on filling up the application form and provides sub-links ( https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html ) with information related to “Instructions to Applicants” and “List of Countries/Nationalities who are eligible to avail e-Visa.”
  3. Two important requirements for entry into India upon receipt of Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is that
    1. The passport of the traveller should have validity of at least six months from date of arrival in India and it should contain at least two blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer.
    2. The applicant must travel on the Passport on which he has applied for e-Visa. Entry will be allowed into India on the new passport even if ETA has been issued on the old passport, however in such cases a traveller must carry the old passport on which ETA was issued.

Entry Visas for Indian Nationals Who acquired Luxembourg Nationality.

Indian Nationals who recently Luxembourg Nationality and renounced their Indian Nationality can apply an Entry Visa while their Renunciation and OCI Card is in the process.

  1. Application must be filled online URL https://indianvisaonline.gov.in Applicants Photo and signature with the relevant documents need to be uploaded.
  2. Photocopy of the Renunciation acknowledgement Form XXIII along with the MHA fee receipt can be used to apply for entry Visa. Please provide separate photocopy for each Visa application form.
  3. The Luxembourg passport is to be submitted for the stamping of the Visa.
  4. Nationality Certificate indicating exact date of acquisition of foreign nationality from the concerned commune/Ministry of Justice Luxembourg.
  5. One passport size photograph (size 5.0 cm x 5.0 cm with white background showing front view of face). Which must be pasted on the application form. (Please DO NOT staple the photos or sign over them).
  6. Current Belgian/Luxembourg passport and photocopy
  7. Original Indian passport and photocopy of the passport, including endorsements, if any, done by Indian Passport Issuing Authorities.
  8. Photocopy of the ID Card or Residence Permit in Belgium / Luxembourg. Original id Card / Resident Permit to be shown at the counter.
  9. Address proof of Luxembourg Ex: Telephone Bill, water Bill, Electricity Bill.
